Toogo is Morocco’s first 100% local VTC (vehicle for hire) app, located in Casablanca and operating within the country. It was purpose-built to address the gaps that global ride-hailing platforms had left in Morocco. It offers local taxi services, in-city and intercity taxi services, a women-specific ride option, and an app-based motor taxi service. 

Toogo delivers a ride-hailing experience that is fully adapted to the way Moroccan riders actually travel. With real-time driver tracking, advanced scheduling, multi-stop trip support, and both cashless and cash payment options, the company has gained a meaningful national scale. The platform continues to grow its driver and rider network across Morocco’s cities.

The Challenges Toogo Was Built to Solve

Morocco’s ride-hailing market was not underserved because there were no apps — it was underserved because the apps that existed were built for other markets and adapted imperfectly for Morocco. Toogo’s founder sees the service architecture and structural gaps that a locally built platform can fix. Each one shaped what Toogo needed to become, and what it needed from its technology partner.

• Global platforms were not offering intercity booking capabilities, local payment flexibility, or an app experience built for Moroccan riders’ needs or culture.
• There is no women-only ride service architecture in Morocco, where such a feature carries real practical and cultural importance.

Developing an app that solves all these challenges, along with an app experience built for local Moroccan riders and tourists as well, was not easy to build from scratch. Toogo needed a proven platform architecture configured to their specific requirements rather than being rebuilt for each one.

Implementation Process

Elluminati followed a structured implementation process built around Toogo’s multi-ride-type requirements and the specific configurations needed for the Moroccan market.

Step 1: Requirement Analysis

We mapped all of Toogo’s ride categories, app features, and app experiences to local Morocco-specific safety and compliance requirements.

Step 2 — Platform Customization 

Configuring Rydex with Toogo’s branding, all ride-type categories and their individual pricing and dispatch logic, Arabic and French language support, features, and multiple payment modes.

Step 3 — System Deployment 

The team deployed the Toogo rider app, driver app, admin web panel, and dispatcher web panel as a fully integrated system, live on Android, iOS, and web across Morocco.

Step 4 — Nationwide Go-Live & Ongoing Support

We launched Toogo across Morocco with full feature parity from day one, with continued Elluminati support as the driver base and ride demand grew.
